Formerly known as “Indian Sugar & General Industry Export Import Corporation Limited”, the name has since been changed to “Indian Sugar Exim Corporation Limited.”
Indian Sugar Exim Corporation Limited (ISEC), a premier sugar exporter of India, was formed in 1969 by the two apex bodies of the sugar industry viz. the National Federation of Cooperative Sugar Factories Limited (NFCSF), and the Indian Sugar Mills Association (ISMA), representing factories in the cooperative and private sectors, for undertaking export of sugar and its by-products. It is thus a representative of the Indian sugar industry.
Having taken over the business and staff of the Export Agency Division of Indian Sugar Mills Association which had been exporting sugar since 1957, it has expertise developed over 64 years. ISEC is also a member of The Refined Sugar Association (RSA) and The Sugar Association of London (SAL).
